Thinking Gender is a public conference highlighting graduate student research on women, sexuality and gender across all disciplines and historical periods.
The conference panels and plenary are free and open to the public. Come to the California Room at the UCLA Faculty Center to sign in and get a program, a map of the Faculty Center, and information on places to eat lunch on campus. The conference lunch is limited to pre-registered participants and their invited guests.

GETTING to UCLA
From the LAX airport
By public transportation:
Many local bus lines (MTA, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, Culver City Bus) serve the UCLA campus.
By car:
If you are driving to UCLA, from the 405 North Freeway, exit at “Wilshire Blvd. East.” Turn left onto Westwood Blvd. Take the first right onto Lindbrook Drive, and then turn left onto Hilgard Ave. Go up the hill until you reach Westholme and take a left to enter campus at the Westholme parking information kiosk.
PARKING:
When you arrive at the Westholme parking kiosk, please mention the Thinking Gender conference and you will be directed to Lot #2. Because on and off-campus parking is limited, we will hold parking spaces for purchase in Lot #2, located at the corner of Hilgard and Westholme. Daily parking permits cost $8 and only cash is accepted.
