Stemple’s research and advocacy interests focus on human rights, sexual
violence, HIV/AIDS, and prisons. Outside of the law school, Stemple has
taught UCLA courses on human trafficking and health and human
rights. In 2004 Stemple served as a Rockefeller Postdoctoral Fellow at
Columbia University’s Program on Sexuality, Gender, Health, and Human
Rights. In 1998 she was a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University.
