Rana Sharif is Coordinator for Thinking Gender 2013!
Rana Sharif is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Gender Studies at UCLA. Her dissertation research focuses on women's reproductive health, specifically in relation to the processes of pregnancy, labor and delivery in the West Bank of Palestine. Theoretically, she is examining how self-care in the West Bank redefine concepts of time, space and violence informed by and through occupation, ruptures of space and inconsistencies in time.
