The UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW) is a nationally recognized center for research on women, gender, and sexuality, and the first organized research unit of its kind in the University of California system.  Established in 1984, it draws on the expertise of 245 faculty members from 34 departments and 10 UCLA professional schools. Organized to develop, promote and disseminate faculty and graduate student research, the Center administers grants, conferences, seminars, and a quarterly speakers series that brings together UCLA, UC, national and international scholars with the intellectual community of Los Angeles.
