New Faculty Research Development Grant Program

The UCLA Center for the Study of Women announces six new faculty grants for academic year 2006-07 for research projects by or about women and womens issues such as gender and sexuality. The award amounts will generally range from $2500 to 3500, though exceptional projects may be awarded up to $5000. Applications for awards will be considered in three areas:

Junior Faculty Research Development grants for the completion of pre-tenure research projects and publications

Faculty Research Seed grants for the development of new projects which may lead to external funding opportunities through CSW

Faculty Research Completion grants for projects that could be considered for CSW publications (policy briefs, research reports).

The recipients of the CSW Faculty Research grants will be required to give a presentation on their research in the CSW Lecture Series during spring quarter of the grant year. Applications should include your name, department, rank, the area in which you are applying (Junior Faculty Research Development Grant; Faculty Research seed grant; or Faculty Research Completion grant), a project title, and one page abstract.
